Ceramics - The Malvern Design
This beautiful five-fold roundel is based on a fifteenth century tile in Malvern Priory, Worcestershire, which was made by the inlaid method using the traditional terracotta clay and cream slip. Helen uses coloured glazes on white clay.
The design is made in two sizes, 'large' and 'small', so although the coasters are the same size, c8cm, the pattern is on a different scale.
Tiles and Coasters are backed with cork to protect table surfaces.
